DIRECTV has teamed up with Common Sense Media, a non-profit, independent organization that provides age-appropriate ratings and reviews for TV shows and movies. Now you can make informed decisions on what is okay for your kids to watch based on program descriptions, details on a program’s language, violence and sexual content and the Age Appropriate Scale.

From directv.com:

• Go to The Guide
• Click on a TV show, movie or event
• Click the Parental Ratings tab

From your remote (HDDVRs only):

• Press INFO on your remote control
• Select More Info
• Select Parental Ratings or Parental Info
