DIRECTV Earns ENERGY STAR award

The EPA has once again recognized DIRECTV for its Excellence in Energy Efficient Product Design.

The Environmental Protection Agency announced that it has selected DIRECTV as a 2011 ENERGY STAR award winner for Excellence in Energy Efficient Product Design. As the only company in our industry to receive this award, DIRECTV was recognized for its “leadership in advancing technology” to reduce energy use while continuing to deliver the world’s best video experience. Recently, the annual Consumer Electronics Association Sustainability Report also featured DIRECTV as a case study for sustainable packaging design. DIRECTV’s innovative supply chain packaging solution has boosted efficiency 75% with a multi-pack container and more recyclable materials.
