“The Help” Wins Big at SAG Awards

At the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night, “The Help” knocked it out of the park with wins for Best Cast, Best Female Performance in a Leading Role (Viola Davis), and Best Female Performance in a Supporting Role (Octavia Spencer). Other highlights of the evening included a drinking game led by the funny ladies of “Bridesmaids” and a lifetime tribute to Mary Tyler Moore.

The SAG Awards hold a special distinction in the pageantry of movie awards, as they are the only ones whose nominees are chosen by peers. In the past, they’ve also been a pretty good gauge of what we can expect in the upcoming Academy Awards. Check out the full list of winners:
