For four seasons of Breaking Bad Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) have been making and selling meth together. Despite working in a business where danger and distrust of others is status quo, the two have managed to stay loyal to one another. But in Season Four their relationship was severely tested.
Threatened by Walt and Jesse’s allegiance to one another, Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) made sure they worked separately, creating distance and even hostility between them. Yet this didn’t stop the two from combining forces when Gus put Walt’s life on the line. Now Walt and Jesse have no one to answer to, creating a whole new playing field for the July 15th Season Five premiere. Here’s a preview of what to expect.
In the Season Five premiere, Walt reunites with his family but must also concentrate on covering up the explosion that destroyed Gus and his meth lab. Meanwhile, Hank (Dean Norris) wraps up his case against Gus’s empire. With no more bosses to contend with, Walt and Jesse begin to talk about running their own business. But can their relationship overcome all the damage from last season? And will Jesse be able to deal with Walt running the show?
Don’t miss the premiere Breaking Bad Season 5 on Sunday, July 15, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
