Movie News: Nemo to Be Found Again?

July 19, 2012

If reports from Hollywood-insider blog Deadline prove accurate, the world’s most famous clownfish may be ready for another adventure on the high seas.

2003’s Finding Nemo was a huge hit for Disney and director Andrew Stanton, who, in addition to production work on several other Pixar titles, went on to direct Wall-E, as well as this year’s live-action adventure John Carter. While the latter film did not perform as well as they had hoped, recent reports state that Disney’s faith in Stanton is unshaken with both parties gearing up for Finding Nemo 2.

While no official word has come from Disney or Pixar, screenwriter Victoria Strouse has reportedly been tapped to pen the sequel to the beloved fish tale with an eye towards a 2016 release.
