TLC wasted no time in creating a new series for their newest breakout star from Toddlers and Tiaras: six-year old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. Honey Boo Boo became a hit thanks to her “go-go juice” guzzling antics and her sassy signature catchphrases like “A dolla makes me holla, honey boo-boo child!”
The new series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, introduces us to the rest of Honey Boo Boo’s self-proclaimed redneck family: her 12-year-old sister, Pumpkin; her 17-year-old sister, Chickadee; her 15-year-old sister, Chubbs; her daddy, Sugar Bear; and her mama, June the “Coupon Queen.” The first episode will show the family competing in the Summer Redneck Games in their home state of Georgia.
Since Honey Boo Boo’s original appearance on Toddlers and Tiaras, she’s gone viral on the Internet and taken the media by storm. She appeared on Anderson and Dr. Drew, where it was revealed that the “go-go juice” she constantly slugs is actually a mixture of Mountain Dew and Red Bull.
If you’re an adult over the age of 21, what better way to celebrate the premiere of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo than by whipping up a Go Go Juice martini? Combine a handful of ice cubes, 1oz of Red Bull, 1oz of Mountain Dew, and 2oz of your favorite vodka into a shaker. Shake well, and pour into a martini glasses rimmed with Pixy Stix. Enjoy!
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premieres August 8 at 10pm on TLC.
