For almost 20 years, Pixar has thrilled us with its stunning CG animation, original storytelling, and unforgettable characters, many of whom have become fixtures in pop culture. And now we have a very special treat for you: For a limited time— from August 8 to 21—DIRECTV CINEMA™ is featuring your favorite Pixar films. Watch them for the first or umpteenth time, by yourself or with the kids—just be ready to be swept away again and again.

Toy Story
Released in 1995, this was the first animated feature film by Pixar. Woody (Tom Hanks) is a pullstring cowboy doll who revels in being his owner’s number one toy. When his owner receives a Buzz Lightyear action figure (Tim Allen) for his birthday, his supremacy is on the line. When an evil next door neighbor threatens the well-being of the toys, will Woody and Buzz join forces to save them?

Wall-E
In this animated science fiction film, WALL-E is a trash-compacting robot who lives on Earth to clean up the mess left behind after years of mass consumption. Eve is a sophisticated robot sent to look for life on Earth. When the two become friends, they take off on a spectacular interplanetary adventure, a visual treat that’s charmingly funny and surprisingly topical.

Ratatouille
Remy the rat dreams to be a famous French chef. Inspired by his recently-deceased idol Auguste Gusteau, he leaves the countryside for Paris, where he befriends Alfredo Linguini, a garbage boy at Gusteau’s restaurant. He soon realizes that he can use his talent and cook by pulling on Linguini’s hair. Will he be able to fulfill his dream and get the recognition he deserves?

Up
Carl is a 78-year-old balloon salesman who dreams of moving to South America. One day, he ties thousands of balloons to his home and embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime journey, accidentally accompanied by a young explorer named Russell. Soon the mismatched pair finds itself in a thrilling adventure that’s both funny and touching.
