Wondering when to find your favorite NBC shows this season? Or what new shows to watch? Here are our picks for the net’s new and returning shows followed by the full season schedule.

Our Picks
Go On – Who isn’t rooting for Matthew Perry to play the lead in a series that sticks? The likeable Friends alum is back in this new sitcom playing Ryan King, a sportscaster who’s a recent widower. After his boss mandates that he go to 10 sessions of grief therapy before he can go back to work, he reluctantly joins group therapy. The group includes all the wacky character archetypes we’ve become accustomed to in sitcom land, and adding cynical Ryan to the group mix creates immediate change in the lives of everyone involved, including his.

Revolution – We were already in when we heard the name J.J. Abrams (Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest). Throw in Eric Kripke, creator of Supernatural, and we can’t contain our excitement. Set in the future when all technology has permanently crashed, Revolution centers around a teenage girl who has already lost too much and refuses to lose any more. Action, adventure and Abrams/Kripke mythology? Set your DVR’s now.

The New Normal – In this new comedy from Ryan Murphy (Glee, Nip/Tuck), a young mother leaves her cheating boyfriend behind, crosses the country and finds herself saying yes to becoming the surrogate for a gay couple wanting to have a child. Murphy’s shows can be uneven, but with an amazing cast that includes Ellen Barkin, Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha, we’re happy to watch and see where it goes.

Chicago Fire – We’d like to say that the pretty faces aren’t a big part of the reason for wanting to tune in to this new drama, but that would be a lie. Masterminded by Dick Wolf, creator of the Law & Order franchise, this series is also of note for not being Wolf’s usual police procedural, and for being set in Chicago – two more reasons that make us want to watch.
