Some people just seem to be surrounded by drama. The moms in these fall shows are so entrenched in it, we’re surprised they manage to accomplish anything other than dealing with it. Here are five Drama Mammas we can’t wait to meet or see on our screens again, which is exactly where they belong.

New Show! Nashville – Rayna James (Connie Britton)
40-year-old legendary superstar Rayna James is forced to team up with rising teen sensation Juliette Brans (Hayden Panettiere) or face losing her label’s support. With both singers pursuing different goals, this collaboration is unlikely to go without a hitch. While Juliette sets out to supersede the fading star, Rayna is determined to revive her career with help from the talented songwriter Scarlett O’Connor (Clare Bowen). Series premieres Wednesday, October 10, at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Revenge – Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe)
Last year we met Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), a wealthy socialite who returned to the Hamptons to seek revenge against those responsible for her father’s wrongful conviction. Victoria Grayson, who tops her list, is the powerful and manipulative matriarch of the Grayson family as well as former lover of Emily’s father, whom she ultimately betrayed. The new season picks up in the aftermath of last season’s shocking finale. Did Victoria survive the seemingly fatal plane explosion, and if so, how? Season 2 premieres Sunday, September 30, at 9 p.m. on ABC.

The Good Wife – Alicia Florrick (Julianna Marguiles)
Stay-at-home politician’s wife Alicia Florrick returns to her job as a defense attorney in order to care for her two kids after her husband (Chris Noth), a former state’s attorney, has been jailed for corruption. At the end of last season, Alicia stood by her estranged husband’s side as he announced his candidacy for governor of Illinois. Does this mean they will be getting back together? Season 4 premieres on Sunday, September 30, at 9 p.m. on CBS.

Blue Bloods – Erin Regan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan)
Francis Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the NYPD Police Commissioner and the widowed father to top detective Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), assistant district attorney and single mom Erin and Frank (Will Estes), a rookie officer on the police force. Whatever happens next season we can guarantee the Reagans will fight to ensure that justice is served—for this tight-knit family, their work is not just a job…it’s a family business! Season 3 premieres Friday, September 28, at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Gossip Girl – Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford)
Based on the popular book series of the same name, this series revolves around the scandalous lives of privileged young adults and their parents living on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. At the end of last season, Lily ended her marriage with Rufus, choosing to reunite with her old husband Bart whom she previously believed to be dead. The sixth and final season premieres Monday, October 8, at 9 p.m. on the CW.
