Jimmy Kimmel Live! is undoubtedly one of the funniest shows in late night. From his hysterical celebrity interviews to his YouTube-ready pranks, Jimmy Kimmel is breaking new ground every night on his ABC chatfest. We sat down with Jimmy to pick his brain on comedy, binge-watching, and his dream celebrity roast subject.
What comedians working today make you laugh out loud?
Mike Birbiglia, Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt, Dana Gould, Tracy Morgan, Wanda Sykes, Sarah Silverman, Jerry Seinfeld, Todd Glass, Chris Rock.
You have had many amazing guests over the years, do you have a few who standout as your favorite?
I get a special kick out of the older guys like Don Rickles and Mel Brooks. They have the best stories and are still very sharp.
Who have you not had on the show who you would like to in the future?
Steve Martin and James Taylor are at the top of my list.
What movies could you watch over and over again and not get sick of?
Broadway Danny Rose, Sling Blade, The Dark Knight and a little-known comedy called The One and Only that I’ve seen no less than 200 times.
What TV shows do you like to binge-watch when you have the time?
I like to keep up with shows I like as they air, but Breaking Bad started as a binge-watching habit. Whenever people tell me they haven’t seen it yet, I get jealous.
If you could do a comedy roast of any famous person dead or alive who would it be?
I think a lot of fun could be had with Thomas Jefferson.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
