The Holiday Installment of ‘Black Mirror’ Will Star Jon Hamm, Rafe Spall and Oona Chaplin
DIRECTV announced today that the critically acclaimed, award-winning series Black Mirror will return exclusively to Audience Network with the premiere of the feature-length special Black Mirror: White Christmas on Thursday, December 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
The 90 minute special starring Jon Hamm (Million Dollar Arm), Rafe Spall (One Day, I Give It A Year) and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones, The Crimson Field), is the most mind-bending installment of Black Mirror yet, showcasing three interwoven tales of Yuletide techno-paranoia. Hamm’s character appears in all three stories, binding them together in a suitably unsettling whole.
Creator Charlie Brooker said: “I’m revoltingly happy that Jon, Rafe and Oona are participating in the horrible pageant that is Black Mirror. As far as I’m concerned their presence is a huge Christmas present that’s arrived early.”
From creator Charlie Brooker (Nathan Barley, Dead Set), Black Mirror is a contemporary British hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected with stories that tap into the collective unease about our modern world. The six-episode mini-series aired exclusively in the US on DIRECTV’s Audience Network last year.
The series is Executive Produced by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones and produced by Barney Reisz for House of Tomorrow. The series is distributed internationally by Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
