8 Shows to Watch If You’re Not Watching the Super Bowl

Still stinging from your team’s lack of playoff performance? Or just not much of a football fan? That doesn’t mean there’s nothing for you to watch this Sunday. Here’s what you can indulge in while the rest of the world is waiting for a touchdown.

1. The Puppy Bowl XI: Animal Planet’s annual assault of cuteness isn’t to be missed. Now in its 11th edition, the “game” includes everything from an avian sideline correspondent to a halftime performance from “Katty Furry.” Prepare by drafting your perfect pup lineup here. Starts at 3pm ET/PT on Animal Planet (Ch. 282).

2. The Walking Dead: AMC’s throwing their own “Zombie Bowl,” celebrating what they claim is the greatest rivalry of our time: humans vs. walkers. Start at the very beginning when they start with the pilot this Sunday and roll all the way into Monday. Starts at 10am ET/PT on AMC (Ch. 254).

3. The Blacklist: If you can stay up past the big game, NBC’s hit show returns, with Red surely up to the kind of espionage and amazing-hat-wearing that die-hard fans have grown to love. Starts after the big game at roughly 10:15pm ET/PTon NBC.

4. The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Bravo’s sassiest Southerners are ready to regale you with 13 hours of drama, catfighting, and confrontation. Starts at 11am ET/PT on Bravo (Ch. 237).

5. Worst Cooks in America: If you had a hard time pulling together the seven-layer dip for last year’s Super Bowl party (in your defense, seven is a lot of layers), seek solace by watching struggling chefs go through culinary boot camp. Starts at 6pm ET/PTon Food Network (Ch. 231).

6. The Shrek Trilogy: He’s roughly the size of most lineman, so why not use this opportunity to catch all three of Shrek’s movies: Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shrek the Third. Starts at 6pm ET/PT on TBS (Ch. 247).

7. Oprah: It’s hard to argue with the power of Oprah. So enjoy one of her favorite things—a marathon of her shows on OWN, starting with Oprah’s Master Class and then rolling into Oprah: Where Are They Now? Starting at 3pm ET/PT on OWN (Ch. 279).

8. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team: If you like your cheerleaders without all the fuss of football, watch these ladies quest to make it onto the most iconic cheer squad in the biz. Starting at 10am ET/PT on LOGO (Ch. 272).
