If don’t know much about USA Network’s new show, DIG, don’t feel bad. The show is shrouded in mystery—because it’s filled with mysteries. From the opening moments, nothing is as it seems and no one is to be trusted. The only thing you can trust? This will be one wild ride.
Written and produced by the creators of Homeland and Heroes, the plot unfolds as an FBI agent, stationed in Jerusalem, traces the murder of a young American. But the agent, played by Peter Connelly (recognizable from the Harry Potter films), uncovers an ancient international conspiracy that threatens to bring about armageddon. As he races against time in contemporary Jerusalem, where the show was filmed on location, he hopes to unravel the mystery and prevent an unholy end of days.
Woven within the puzzle are stunning performances from Anne Heche, Lauren Ambrose, Ori Pfeffer,David Costabile, whose characters all have their own intrigue (Anne Heche described the show as “the FBI meets Indiana Jones.”). Taking as nearly a staring role is the scenery, with action taking place from Norway to New Mexico, and scenes filmed on location at such historic sites as the Temple Mount.
We went behind-the-scenes at the premiere, and can tell you that you’ll definitely want to #DIGDEEPER into this show.
DIG premieres Thursday, March 5 at 10/9c on USA Network (Ch. 242).
