Celebrate Selma With BET’s Live Anniversary Event

This weekend marks the 50th Anniversary of the historic Montgomery March on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. BET and Centric, in partnership with the Selma to Montgomery 50th Commemoration Foundation, will honor those who stood up for freedom, equal rights, and the right to vote in a historical concert celebration — that you can watch live!

The concert will include performances from Aloe Blacc, Angie Stone, Arrested Development, Bebe Winans, Bell Biv DeVoe, Blind Boys of Alabama, D-Nice, DeWayne Woods, Donnie McClurkin, Doug E. Fresh, Eddie Levert, Eric Benet, Estelle, Flavor Flav, India.Aire, Keith Sweat, Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin, MC Lyte, Rick Ross, Tank, Tamar Braxton, Tramaine Hawkins, Tyrese, Vanilla Ice, Virtue and so on, and appearances by Harry Belafonte and Peter Yarrow (two original marchers), Bill Bellamy, Bill Withers, Cicely Tyson, Gary Owen, John Salley, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Tom Joyner, and more.

The concert, hosted by AJ Calloway, will air on BET (Ch. 329) and Centric (Ch. 330) on Sunday, March 15 in a special including historical footage, interviews, and photographs from the original civil rights event. But fans can stream the action live on BET.com, CentricTV.com, and below.
