With the NFL Draft on the way, DIRECTV has been drafting some fresh players of our own. Today we announced that Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, and Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck, are joining the NFL SUNDAY TICKET spokesmen team. And Tony Romo is already working on his acting skills.
“Every year, I look forward to seeing what hilarious videos or ads DIRECTV is going to come up with next for its NFL SUNDAY TICKET campaign,” said Romo. “I’m thrilled to now be a part of it, although I think I’m going to need to polish up my acting and comedy chops to keep up with Peyton and Eli.”
Peyton and Eli Manning aren’t going anywhere, of course. The current DIRECTV spokesmen team co-captains, Peyton and Eli have been working with DIRECTV for more than a decade. They’ll continue their on-screen antics with Romo and Luck, who’ve signed multi-year agreements, joining them in all manner of activities to promote our exclusive NFL football subscription service.
Only on DIRECTV, NFL SUNDAY TICKET broadcasts every live, out-of-market NFL game, every Sunday.
Good thing Luck is already ready to talk some trash: “There are a handful of products and ad campaigns that guys in the locker room pay attention to, and NFL SUNDAY TICKET is definitely one of them,” said Luck. “I’m expecting a healthy dose of trash talk from teammates.”
