We sat down with NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah about the upcoming season, returning Monday, September 21 at 10/9c on CBS.
You are going into Season 7 of NCIS: Los Angeles. How does it feel to be a part of a show with such a passionate fan base?
It feels incredible. Social media has allowed us to connect with the people who watch us; there is direct feedback and our followers are so dedicated. We truly appreciate their love and it makes us want to continue to be the best show we can be, for them.
You character Kensi Blye is a fan favorite. What can you tell us about her journey this season?
We’re never told anything! But I know we continue to see a development in the Densi relationship—they will definitely be jumping over a few obstacles…
You have had fantastic guest stars on the show over the years. Who would you love to see guest star in the future?
I would love Michael Weatherly to come back; I want to see more of Pamela Reed (Deeks’ mom—yup, she shows up!) Frankly, I think our producers and casting directors are fantastic and I can’t wait to see who else they’ll surprise us with!
Tell us about life on set? Is it like one big happy family?
YES! I didn’t grow up with siblings, but I can only imagine this is what it would be like. There is unconditional support for each other, a lot of making fun of one another, and a whole lot of love and laughter. Cast and crew are a tight-knit team.
We know you are busy, but when you have the time, what do you like to watch on TV?
I always watch NCIS: LA when I get a chance. Homeland, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, American Horror Story, Girls, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, etc… I’m also a big fan of documentaries.
Catch up on NCIS: Los Angeles now before the season premiere on Monday September 21 at 10/9c only on CBS.
