Trevor Noah Debuts as Host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central

September 28, 2015

It was hard to miss the news that Jon Stewart, venerable and longtime host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central, was vacating his post after 16 years on the air. Stewart built a dedicated following of nightly viewers, as well as critics, of his humorous political observations.

Stepping into the chair comes 31-year-old Trevor Noah, a South African comic who until the announcement earlier this year, was relatively unknown to American audiences. Big shoes to fill for sure, but Noah is energized and eager to put his stamp on the show when it premieres tonight, Monday, September 28 at 11/10c on Comedy Central.

Noah was kind enough to share this quick invitation to DIRECTV viewers to tune in, and we’re excited to see what’s in store.

The good folks at The Daily Show also shared this inside glimpse into the new set, just revealed last week.

Don’t miss the season premiere of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Monday September 28, at 11/10c on Comedy Central, DIRECTV Channel 249.
