Ahead of its March 31st debut, we sat down with Jon Foo, one of the stars from CBS’ highly-anticipated Rush Hour. With over a dozen film credits to his name, the British-born actor and martial arts expert can’t wait for viewers to join him on this wild ride and his first foray into American television. Set your DVR to CBS on March 31st at 10/9c for the debut of Rush Hour, and stay tuned for another exclusive interview on the blog with Foo’s co-star Justin Hires next week.
What has it been like to step into this role, made famous by Jackie Chan?
One of the greatest experiences of my life! Everything from the process of filming, to diving into the story, to the work that I put into the role… it’s been life-changing.
How will the show be different from the film series?
It’s an all-new cast, and we’re giving viewers a full season so they can really come to understand where these characters stand.
Tell us about life on set. How has it been working with this group of actors?
It was a great experience to work with so many talented actors from all around L.A., and from so many different walks of life.
Who would you love to see guest star on the show?
I’d like to see the show overlap with other shows, like the overlap of universes. And of course Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker!
You got your start doing stunts for films. What do you think is the best stunt ever featured in a motion picture?
While we were filming House of Fury in Hong Kong, I did a butterfly twist on a car that was going in reverse—that was a pretty great stunt!
